It's warm and cozy, friendly and has SUPERB espresso and brewed coffee. All the baristas do latte art and are well-versed in coffee. The food is unique and a great price! Can't beat this place...no better coffee, no better prices on Grand Avenue.

If you are passing by, this is an okay place to get good beverages and food. But if you are searching for a coffeehouse to become a regular, this is not it. They do have a number of long-time regulars, so perhaps they've reached their quota. Attempts to involve them in conversations (unless you're one of the long-timers) are not successful. They aren't interested. The baristas at the two nearby Starbucks on Grand Avenue are much friendlier. I try to choose local businesses over chains whenever possible, but not when I'm treated as though my business is not appreciated.

Amore has good coffee, and a lot of regulars. I go there often to get some work done out of the office because they have good open Wi-Fi. It can be a little hard to find a seat as the weather cools, but that is just because of all of the customers who enjoy the good drinks and personable help and owner. 2 other perks - they are super kid friendly (serve homemade gelato) and they have a room that they will close off for larger groups - book clubs, etc.

How disappointing to have to rewrite this review. I revisited what had been my absolute all-time favorite coffee shop for the first time in a couple of years and found it to be under new ownership & management. What had previously been very charming, cozy decor has been replaced by pale-mint-green paint and florescent lighting more akin to a gas station than a coffee shop. Didn't make me want to stick around for long. Even my favorite drink (though still on the menu) had somehow changed for the worse. No good. Another good thing ruined by too much tinkering.

This fantastic little gem of a coffee house on Grand Ave is what every coffee house should be: independently fun and uniqe, with a warm friendly staff, the owner at the counter and great cup of coffee. The place is filled with great local art, ecclectic furniture and fun music (often LIVE!). A wide variety of locally-made pastries and sandwiches are available and homemade gelatto. I love dropping in and studying with a cup of hot coffee, and see that there are a lot of "regulars" that do the same.
