Billing me for services NOT provided. Tech said they can't see satellite from my location therefor, "we just cancelled your account" (I called and confined account was cancelled...now they have "misplaced my records) that was the beginning of august 2010...yet they are still billing me for service they provided????? They clearly could not provide service if they can't see the satellite from here...this is a no brainer, why bill me, that's fraudulent and illegal.

I unfortunately have DIRECTV. When their installer put the dish on my roof he didn't gound it because he said he was in a hurry to get home and eat dinner, leaving my property at great risk. I brought this issue to DIRECTV's attention and asked them to remove their equipment and cancel my contract without penalty since I didn't want to do work with a company that would put their customers in such jeopardy. They said they wouldn't honor my request because it was my fault the installation was incorrectly done since I should have inspected his work before I signed off on the work order. So now I have a lightening rod on my house. I'm filing a complaint with the FCC.

I was offered a package by Qwest of high speed internet, phone and DirecTV for a free 30 day trial period. It was installed on Christmas Eve afternoon, 2009. My husband and I are not stupid and would have never agreed to anything this expensive without a free trial period, be it 30 days or 2 weeks. We hated it and cancelled it in 13 days. The box and remote were returned to DirecTV on January 12, 2010. Qwest has not penalized us with any fees but now DirecTV is billing me for $483.00. I am disputing the bill and sending letters to the Executive Officer : "Chase Carry" at PO Box 6550 in Greenwood Village CO. At no time was I ever told by Qwest of the huge early termination fee from DirecTV. When I called DirecTV they assured me that they had nothing to do with Qwest's package. So I was supposed to pay my satellite TV bill to Qwest and nothing was to come to me from DirecTV? It was explained to me I would pay one fee to Qwest to cover the entire bill (including DirecTV). So my question is this: if Qwest is authorized to sell DirecTV services why is DirecTV not honoring their agreement? Of course, I realize "Honer" is a word not included in the vocabulary of DirecTV. I am filing a complalint with the Better Business Bureau as well as our State Attorney General. Washington state filed suit against DirecTV on December 19, 2009 citing fraudulent business practises, inclding "bait and switch". By filing a complaint with our Attorney General, I hope our state joins in on this pursuit of justice.

DIRECTV IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM. THEY ARE JUST AFTER MONEY AND THEY WILL FRAUDULANTLY COME UP WITH A VERBAL AGREEMENT TO EXTEND EVERYONES CONTRACT WITHOUT THEM KNOWING ABOUT IT. SO IF YOU JOIN DIRECTV AND DECIDE TO CANCEL AFTER YOU CONTRACT THEN THEY WILL STILL CHARGE YOU AN EARLY CANCELLATION FEE. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT IT IS A VALID AGREEMENT. BUT, THE AGREEMENT WAS NEVER MADE WITH YOU. ALSO, IF YOUR RECEIVERS GO BAD THEY WILL TELL YOU TO GO AND GET A NEW ONE BUT THEY WILL NOT INFORM YOU THAT IT WILL ACTIVATE A 18 MONTH CONTRACT. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY NEED TO REALIZE WITHOUT CUSTOMERS THEN THEY WILL NOT HAVE A JOB BECAUSE THE COMPANY WILL NOT EXSIST. IF YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS SCAM THEN REQUEST SERVICE FROM THEM.
