I was totally deceived by two Edward Jones advisors and a third one deceived a non-profit organization I am part of. These "financial advisors" are Salesman who work on commission. Their advice is based on what will make them the most money, not your individual goals. The more risk you take, the more money they make.The company does not hold their financial advisors accountable for what they say to their clients. Their compliance department are lawyers who deny everything the financial advisor has done wrong. I think thier should be a law that anyone who works on commission have Salesman in thier title, especially when retirees life savings are at stake. Oh, and beware of the good reviews. They were probably written by the financial advisors themselves or their friends and/or family.

I have had good success with Kraig Keller out of the Madison/Redbank Office of Edward Jones. We moved our money from another broker, because we felt we were not getting truly objective recommendations from our previous broker. We liked the fact that, Edward Jones does not sell their own funds or investments. Kraig continues to help us make wise investments and explains our fees and strategies in a way we understand.

James Cargo is a highly respected financial planner. Mr. Cargo won over my account after pointing out unethical practices by my then UBS Planner. I could not be happier with Edward Jones, and have increase revenue over the past 5 years straight.
