I feel so secure having my home, autos, umbrella and life insured with Farmers. I have always received the best service from my agent and the company has always been great when it comes to claims. The rates are reasonable but best of all is the great service. Thank you Farmers Insurance.

I had the most negative customer service (actually customer disservice) experience with the local Farmers Insurance office located at 2822 F St., Ste. 1 Bakersfield, CA 93301. The owner is Gary Been, who was also my agent. He treated me rudely, unprofessionally, and disrespectful! Even if he was right in explaining the way Farmers calculates mileage, he had no right to talk to me in such inappropriate demeanor. He belittled and patronized me, which is completely unacceptable. This is especially true since he is representing Farmers, which is an honorable company. He is doing Farmers a disservice by staying in business. What is he thinking treating me this way? Is this the kind of service/treatment I deserve for being a loyal, paying customer of auto and home insurance through his office? I think not. The service in that office is absolutely the worst of its kind, starting with the owner himself. I absolutely discourage anyone who is considering getting their insurance through that office.

I am very happy with the service and coverage from Farmers. I went to Eric Page on the west side of town. The service was great and now I understand my coverage. I never knew what I was really paying for. Thanks Eric. I will recomend you to my friends. Call him it will be worth it. I don't know if he is listed here but the # 317-352-5996

I had insurance from This company for 2 years. Horrible!! They give me quote which is good at the moment I paid(200 lower than other insurance companies), later on they sent me a lot of bills, and the bill says if I don't pay, they will cancle my insurance. I add all this up, is much higher than the insurance quote other companies gave to me. And Farmer Insurance put me to collections, I have phone calls every day. it so horrible, I called their customer servise, called their regional managers, all kinds of people, I told everyone I called my story, nobody care, they keep give me new numbers let call and nobody call me back, ................. I have nothing happen, no claim. I not that bad luck, I was thinking if I have claim how they gonna treat me, I don't think they will care about their customer, they just trap people into their insurance. before you pay, they have such smiling faces, after you pay, they will suck your money forever.

I've been with Farmers for a couple of years now. Everything started okay, my agent is attentive most of the time. Then my bills started getting strange. Long story short, I was being back charged for services they claimed I requested but hadn't been charged for (For 6 months?! Isn't that THEIR problem if they forgot to bill me for services - IF I requested these services at all, which I hadn't?), plus fees associated with THEIR failure to bill me correctly. When everything was finally settled (HOURS on the phone and in person), I stayed on. Then i was charged for those things AGAIN. In order to avoid further complications, my agent canceled & re-wrote my policy (apparently at my request - again, I don't seem to recall this) which straightened it all out - and entailed a new initial deposit that I had no warning of. Once THAT was settled, I tought I knew what my bill would be - silly me! I bought a new car, traded the old one in, told my agent, got my new rate. Next bill, I'm back charged for the NEW CAR through POLICY INCEPTION DATE - 4 months of time I didn't even own it! Calls to my agent are returned days later if at all, national customer service is NO help, regional billing is much mor helpful but even they say they can't make sense of my bill. On top of this, all three sources quote me three different rates for what my monthly bill SHOULD be, and nobody can explain the extra $17.50 charge that shows up on my bank account every few months (nobody has record of me being charged this, but it's sure on my bank statements). One hand never knows what the other is doing, everyone is freindly but not really helpful, communication is horrid. I can't even imagine what it would be like if heaven forbid I actually had to file a claim! Once this last bill is sorted out, I'm switching as fast as I an sign paperwork somewhere else.
