About Incline Exteriors

The owners, John Kust And Bill Schenkel have over 45 years of experience in the residential construction field. John & Bill both grew up in the Lake Minnetonka area, then met and became good friends in 1984 on a spring-break ski-trip in Vail, Colorado during their senior year at Minnetonka High School. After High school, Bill studied finance at Colorado State University and skied on weekends while John worked and skied full-time in the mountains. Roofing/construction work was an ideal Minnesota "summer job" to support skiing and studies in the Colorado mountains.


By the spring of '95, both John and Bill were back home in Minnesota full- time raising families. They formed Incline Enterprises, providing roofing services to homes in the area for friends, relatives and any word-of-mouth customers they could get. They had one crew and completed one roof at a time.


Since those first years, John and Bill have still retained the "one-roof-at-a-time" approach to the business. In the wake of recent, severe storms, they have since included siding, gutters, painting and window replacement to fill the need for "hail-damage restoration". Incline now specializes in all exterior services, including working with homeowners' insurance companies.
