Terrible terirble service and ...

Terrible terirble service and product! Still trying to get our drapes after placing the order 5/23/11 (it's now 12/15/11). drapes were initialed delivered in August - sewly badly, puckered throughout and returned for a re-do. Picked up 9/14/11, no drapes, no update, no nothing. We've called the store repeatedly. No one answers and no one calls back despite repreated phone messges. finally went to the store 2 weeks ago and no one from the decorating dept was available so another store rep gave us the supervisors info. no call back from her either, email bounced back. I finally called JC Penney 800 number for help. let's see what happens. So far, i'd rate their product a negative rating or zero but unfortunately that is not an option!

I'm very disappointed in the JCPenney Custom Decorating Service. We have done all of our home decor shopping at JCPenny there for years and was always very impressed with the quality of items, the service and the associates in the stores, So when we wanted custom blinds for our kitchen and family room we didn't think twice who we wanted to hire. The salesperson was very professional and had some great ideas. Me and my wife were very happy with his suggestions and placed the order. Sadly that was the last time we heard anything from JCPenny about our order. After 14 weeks of waiting ( when promised 6 - 8 weeks) and many unanswered phone messages, we canceled the order. The salesperson couldn't give us a good answer as to why we never received our order. The only thing he could say was that they had a change in staff and your order may be sitting in the warehouse. I could never recommend JCPenny Custom Decorating to a friend. This experience has really changed our minds about JCPenny.

I'm sad to see Penny's got some bad reviews. I've had nothing but great experiences at our local Missoula store. I've shopped there for most of my life, and know many of the associates. I always get good service, products, and good prices. I'd much rather shop there then Dillards or Sears.

Needed window dressings on 8 windows on newly built house. Thought I'd hire a "professional" since I wanted the job done "right". That was January, this is June. Total incompetence the entire process - calls not returned, installation date set and then no one shows up, figures on invoice incorrect, quality of work disappointing. June 21, 2011

Do not use JC Penney Custom Drapery no matter where you live. I have had a terrible experience with draperies ordered in Oct, 2010, delivered in Dec. 2010, replaced in April 2011 with a new set, still have puckered seams and a bolt wrinkle. Have 5 pages of notes of all the missteps and poor service. Still charged full price for the draperies. Material is nice, but construction of draperies is substandard; not what is expected for a custom made drapery. JC Penney's has lost a loyal customer of over 47 years.
