STAY AWAY FROM THE KILLEEN MAACO..They painted a vintage 1959 "fleet option" gmc truck for me and totally screwed it upThis particular truck has less than 100 of them that are known to exist that are running to date, and tthis is my retirement project to keep me busy. This paint job totally sucks, they painted over alot of the rubber on the outside, didn't bother to mask it,such as the rubber grommet on the gas inlet part, paint all over lots of other rubber, on my mirrors, alot of orange peel,runs/sags/cracks in the paint/as well as ov erspray over alot of the truck that is not supposed to have paint. The tailgate on this truck is a blue wrap with a center white box that has the large classic orange GMC letters on it.They masked off the white center panel, and the gmc letters(large 3 inch letters) that are chevy orange, sprayed the blue, and white on other partts of the truck, peeled the masking paper off and didn't even bother painting the large rec tangular middle of the tailgate,it is still just like it went going in.Like to here them tell me .This paint job is full of dimples, runs sags..why di9dn't I take it bac k? Because I don't won't them messing it up even worse..I DON'T WANT THEM NEAR THIS RARE TRUCK,OR EVEN A HOT WHEELS TOY AT THAT. Heres one of the major kickers and will cause me to totally repaint this truck anyway, is they were supposed to paint this thing the "ORIGINAL COLOR" which I easily got the true color from the 1959 GMC charts, which there are only 3 blues on,and they painted this thing WAY WAY off the true color which is called "canyon blue", which is similar to a "cobalt blue" which is a pretty deep toned blue, but they paint it a blue that isn't even near the three blues on the GMC color chart for that year. You can open my hood and see the color there against the color they put on and a 4 year old child could tell the difference if held up against it. The colors these trucks were made in the blues, came from Ditzler Color Division in Detroit, and still available today..The three blues GMC had for that year is 1.Orbit Blue 2. Cape Blue, and 3. Canyon Blue...The color they gave me was almost a flourescent type blue, that leans toward Turquoise more so than actual blue. The total paint job is just screwed up completely, the color is wrong, and has more sags and runs in it than one could imagine. My grand Father picked this truck up after it was painted and not really keen on his eyesight anymore for if it had been me, there would had been quite a disturbance over it, but I still wouldn't have let them try to fix it.The painting is so bad on this truck, that I wouldn't dare let them touch it any further.I now have sanding marks all over it where I had to sand some major runs out of it,and will soon have it painted by some actual automotive painters, and not some trainee..Yes I will see this same guy that works for Maaco reply to this posting with some type of excuse, but does he kbow, he is actually making things worse.RThe ratings and reviews are consistant with each other, and actually..I have never seen any place with so many "horror" reviews on the internet from this place, that basically, he appears to be making a liar out of himself.I am not calling him a liar, but you make the judgement here..just look at the contrary and conflicting remarks he makes throughout him trying to explain how great their service is,and how he also basically says everyone else is lying.Don't take your auto here....

Took a car in a 97 chevy camaro that did not have any damage at all.. Had ground effects put on and asked for best paint job they had.. got charged 1700.00 and the ground effects flew off of my car and they told me that I hit something if that is the case how did the hood roof and back bumper all start cracking to. I should have got a tax credit for that donation but they are not needy

I went there with the impression that Macco would give me some information about my car and the types of repairs they do.....not. Front desk person, Shane, was rude, did not want to see my picture and would not answer any question I wanted to ask. The good part is I went to YP.com and saw the reviews. There is no such thing as a "-star" but this place sure deserves one. I will tell my military friends to stay away from this establishment.
