U Store It is the most DISRESPECTFUL company I've ever encountered. Their corporate headquarters is full of unknowledgeable, RUDE employees who seem to do nothing. Would NEVER recommend renting a unit there, nor would I EVER recommend working for them. YUCK! If I could choose to give them NO stars I would, but YP won't let me.

Do not under any circumstances, ever store your possessions at A-! SELF STORAGE in Albuquerque. I stored my possessions, household items in boxes, at A-1 Self Storage at the location 49 HOTEL CIRCLE NE in Albuquerque, over by the Best Buy store. ALL MY BOXES WERE CUT OPEN, MY BARBIE COLLECTION WAS STOLEN, MY PHOTO ALBUMS WERE GONE - Most likely they were thrown in the trash. Many of my other items were STOLEN. Don't take my word for it - call Albuquerque Police Department and ask THEM HOW MANY BREAK INS ARE REPORTED AT A1-SELF STORAGE at 49 Hotel Circle NE. PLEASE for your own good, take my advice, and NEVER store anything that you care about at A-! Self Storage. If you want more information, feel free to EMAIL me at janenov24@yahoo.com and I will provide you with copies of my police reports - yes TWO police reports, because my unit was broken into TWICE IN ONE WEEK, before I was able to get a truck and move out. But by then, everything of value had already been stolen. The live in manager was FIRED but what good did that do? It didn't bring any of my stolen items back. NOTE: It used to be called U-Stor-It but it was taken over by A-1 Self Storage in May 2009 and that is when the place went downhill. I rated the business as a "1 star" but that is because they didn't have an option to rate it a ZERO, for the worst place ever.

The facility is average so that is not the complaint. The complaint is in regards to the mandatory insurance that they do not mention until you are already in the office and you really have to much invested to change. I specifically asked three different times, if there were any additional fees, during the process of setting up my account. Each time I was told no, then when I get there they spring additional fees for mandatory insurance. The price match guarantee is for only a 3 mile radius and does not include the insurance fees.

I have rarely dealt with such rude and incompetant people. Billing is done from a seperate location and they do not inform the premises that payments were made in a timely matter. Repeatedly my storage unit was bolted shut and I could not access it in spite of being up to date with the payments. Their excuse after being rude and nasty was that they were short handed and "couldn't get to it". They were a complete nightmare!

I went to the Cleveland Location on Berea Road and did not end up storing.Not pleasant on the phone, worse when I got there... Would not recommend!
